Spring Wildflower Walk

in between storms .. in an incredible wet Spring, the weather cleared wonderfully for a morning stroll through drifts of Creamy Candles, Bulbine Lilies, Vanilla Lilies, Murnong, Buttercups, Violets, Lanky Buttons, Billy Buttons, Scaly Buttons, Hoary Sunrays, Sticky Everlastings, Sundews, as well as Peas, Orchids, Grasses and some of our gorgeous old trees. Thanks everyone for coming along.

This years annual Spring Wildflower walk through Wandiyali Environa Wildlife Sanctuary was memorable purely for the abundance and diversity of native flowers....sure due to the wonderful wet year, but also in the ongoing intensive progressive management of the Sanctuary by Wandiyali Restoration Trust. It gives balance in uncertain times and warms the soul to always be discovering new flora and fauna on this rejuvenating ancient land.

For us, biodiversity is king and queen, helping to ensure our long existence on planet earth.”

David Larcombe, Wandiyali~Environa Wildlife Sanctuary landowner
